OFFSPRING Store Opening. Sponsored by Gourmet

To celebrate the launch of Gourmet’s Spring/Summer collection they hosted a party at our new Offspring Shoreditch store, in the heart of London’s fashionable East End. Honouring their new ‘Stingray’ 35 Lite trainers, the party would not have been complete without live stingrays in a large Gourmet branded tank in the centre of the store. What kind of a launch party would it of been without dangerous sea creatures hanging out in the store.

Featuring a live set by DJ Semtex, dropping some chilled reggae beats and Gourmet’s trainers presented on plates for the crowd to devour. Offspring Shoreditch was heaving with the trainer elite, bloggers, collectors and hype guys filled the store, taking in all the Gourmet vibes and admiring our brand new store.

The new store was the perfect venue for this launch, offering the latest in limited and classic trainers as well as a selection of sports apparel, Gourmet is a welcome addition to the Offspring family and it certainly brought the crowds to our new stomping ground.

OFFSPRING Artist Series; John Greene

We kicked off the Offspring Artist Series with artist John Greene for August. The event, sponsored by Atticus larger, saw John customise the back wall at our Bromley store with his unique style. His piece, referencing Mexican mural painting and the act of bringing elements of contemporary art together to form a rich and diverse language.  Or in his own words;

‘This work came together from a wish to celebrate the tradition of mural painting – more specifically Mexican mural painting of the early twentieth century.  The work of artist’s like Diego Rivera, Jose Orozco and Alfaro Siqueiros: the key elements of this style were the marriage of fantasy, iconography and social narrative.  Along with a rich and diverse visual language that would appeal to all Mexicans, the murals were considered the works of the people and for the people and adorned many public buildings; public painting in its truest sense.’

In September we’ll be bringing a bit of home grown talent to Bromley, with one of our very own taking on the wall to create something unique.
