Introduced in the mid 80 s as a bio-mechanically correct, high mileage trail/road running shoe, the ZX 500 featured a particularly unique sole: with multi-purpose rubber outsole studs that gripped on soft ground, but retreated into the tread on harder surfaces. Representing the technological age of the 1980s, this version features a patterned fabric combined with a mesh to partly disguise the striping pattern and employs neon colours to emphasize the graphic style of the time.
