Celebrating everything community with our collaboration with Reebok, we’re bringing you our edition of the Workout Plus ‘Ice’.
For those who are old enough to remember, the Reebok Work Out “'Ice' was a big U.K. trend in the late 90s. Whether it was on the Ripple sole, in a multitude of colours and shades or finding it’s way on other Reebok models, the 'Ice' sole was a must have. You’d have people teaming them up with Iceberg jackets and crazy Mosh jeans, it truly was a phenomena that swept up and down the country.
"Always my go to PE shoe. If it didn't have the original bubbled Reebok logo with the UK flag, I didn't want it! It's always the small details that matter on a sneaker."
2021 we revisit this look with a few upgrades and additions in true Offspring form. We’ve used a deluxe leather throughout, Community Member taping, dual branded logos on the tongue and side window, two sets of laces and not to mention both logos peering out through that frosty outsole. Personalisation does not stop there, we have added our signature lightning bolt to the back, as well as special addition community taping at the side and double lacing option so you can switch up the laces.
Having enlisted some of our very own community for the marketing campaign and shot by our super talented photographer @nineteen.85 (Mark), we asked them what Reebok means to them and how the brand has evolved from everyone’s first shoe at school to now; a streetwear must have. We wanted to encapsulate and evoke nostalgic emotions of fun times with friends.
"Reebok Workouts were worn by all the older year groups during school times. I definitely wouldn't love sneakers the way I do now if not for those early impressions."
Whether it was in the park, at the skate rink or just hanging out in the community, Reebok’s rich historic heritage has always been present, and representative of UK culture through the years. We wanted this shoe to give you the feeling of those good old memories and whilst you wear it, to make new ones.
In addition to all of this we created special elements to the release. With every purchase we gave you ice cube trays stamped with the brands logos to keep you cool on those summer days, as well as a dual branded community tote bag.
