Last week our community joined us at OFFSPRING Kings Cross for a live styling and customisation workshop celebrating the Saucony ProGrid Ride 1, the things people remain loyal to - and the personal touches that make them worth keeping.
The workshop was led by @anniepurdyy and @itsdaryon.
Daryon is a London based fashion stylist who has worked internationally with a diverse client base across various project types and has a plethora of campaigns.
Annie Purdy is a footwear designer, maker, and storyteller of soles who is currently working on her PHD to become a Dr of footwear! Rooted in sustainability and care, her practice blends traditional craftsmanship with experimental processes to create work that celebrates responsibility, authenticity, and connection.
After kicking off the evening with a talk from Curtis Taylor (Saucony EMEA Regional Merchandising Manager), Daryon and Annie about why it's important to stay loyal, what it means to them and how the evening was to go, we split into two groups and began.
Group 1 headed downstairs for a styling workshop and group 2 stayed upstairs to customise their pairs of Ride 1.
Guests were asked to bring an item that meant something to them and that they always stay loyal to. Daryon's styling workshop was about adding details to those items or adding different ways to tie it, clip it, pin it that meant that it was still their favourite item but it gave it new life and new opportunities to be reworn.
Annie's workshop focused on customising the community's new ProGrid Ride 1's to make them more their own personal style. There was everything from beads and embellishments to laces and embroidery for guests to really make their pairs their own.
Once everyone had styled their item and customised their pair they were invited to have it captured so that they could reference it again as 'Source Material'.
Shout out to the community who came and brought the energy, @saucony_eu, @itsdaryon, @anniepurdyy, @nine.creativeproductions, and everyone else who made this workshop possible.
