Before hype was a thing, Air Max was a thing. What a month, fair to say to say that we took it to the Max. Offspring, along with the Community celebrated all things Nike Air Max, cumulating with Air Max Day on Sunday the 26th, and the launch of the AM1 ‘86 Big Bubble. On the Off chance you missed all the goings-on, here’s what went down over the last month.
GOING ‘OFF AIR’
Built on the success of last year’s event, we kicked things Off by celebrating the launch of the Nike Air Max 1 Crepe with the Offspring Community and @theauratapes. Off Air connects the Community to the Air Max by creating a real-life space for them to empower, educate and elevate one another. And to have an amazing time of course!

LAUNCH DAY
In true Offspring fashion, we decked out the hatch for Air Max Day 23 and the AM1 ’86 Big Bubble pick up. If you were one of the lucky raffle winners, we had a few additional surprises to go with your new kicks too – a limited edition tote bag, 3D printed toy and zine, all free with every purchase of the Big Bubble.

Before hype was a thing… the ‘Offspring Guy’ was a thing! Our 3D printed toy created quite a demand within Community. Seems everyone wanted to get there hands on one of these, unfortunately there were only 180 available on a FCFS basis. Did you get lucky? We’ve gotta give Max props to Community member Lewis aka @sneakerplanters – who created these for us.

For the last 4 years Offspring have created a Community Zine in conjunction with @paq.works. This year’s edition of ‘Please Read First 4.0’ featured an interview with legendary Air Max collector @solelove1 plus a special focus on @wingshackco founder Josh Jarvis. Community member Josh is someone who failed in a period of their life, went to prison but came out, and is now the owner of a £6 million business. The Zine told his story and led us into the afternoon’s workshop.
Gotta give a big shout out to Saad aka @staremix for this video, capturing his unique take on the pick-up day experience.
Our Community members never fail to impress with their talent and creativity. And when asked to bring the heat, they always deliver. The kicks on display were something else.
SUNDAY DISCUSSION & WORKSHOP
Our Community took part in ‘Falling Forward’ – another Sunday Discussion featuring a special workshop with Wing Shack’s founder Joshua. Kicking Off the afternoon, 30 Community members donned some ‘fire’ aprons (which aren’t for sale), and received a master class in making sauce for marinades.

Things got more meaningful with a sit down talk with Josh, hosted by Kaff our long-standing Community member. It was truly an inspirational talk which Josh talked about his time in prison, the success of his business, what drives him and the opportunities his business gives to ex-offenders.
The evening, and in fact Air Max month, ended nicely with a sit-down meal and a portion of spicy Wings. Big thanks to Josh and love to @kaff_official_insta for hosting!
