To celebrate Jerry Lorenzo’s 8th collection and their long-awaited collaboration, adidas flew the Offspring team (and your other favourite retailers from around the globe) out to LA to witness the occasion. Here’s what went down.
Live from the Los Angeles hills, the Hollywood Bowl was filled with the who’s who of the fashion, sneaker, and celebrity world, all ready to see the latest offering from the Fear of God label.
The show opened with artist Sampha, performing 3 tracks from his album Progress, live on the piano. Following that was a musical mash up of spoken word, samples in their original form and in the form of the hip hop tracks they lend themselves to. Meanwhile the models took to the stage showcasing all the looks from the 8th collection alongside giving us glimpses of the clothing, footwear, and apparel from the adidas collaboration.
‘Why would I hate? We in love with winnin’, ooh! Buy Essentials, fly her out, bring her friend, I try her out, Ain’t no worries findin’ out, the details is ironed out.’
The show then closed with artist Pusha T performing his feature verse from ‘Feel The Love’ on the Kids See Ghosts album (whilst tweaking the lyrics to mention Jerry and FOG), a walk on from Jerry Lorenzo himself, all rounded off by fireworks.
Whilst in LA the Offspring team also took in the sights, tried the local delicacies, checked out the retail offering and visited the adidas office in downtown to check out the Fear of God collaboration – a meeting that was crashed by Pusha T, head to toe in FOG.
