Offspring and Jordan Brand proudly present ‘FROM THE JUMP’. An immersive exhibition that celebrates the influential Black-British contribution to sneaker culture worldwide.
We teamed up with PAQ to create an exclusive community event, giving away free trims courtesy of @trimit, bespoke nail art sessions by @iamreeceyroo, complimentary drinks supplied by @lasolas.uk and food by @wingshackco.
From The Jump presented a full day of 3 communal workshops. Our community members were able to brush up on their pen game in a Life Drawing session with Auntie. Yes, you read that right. Auntie, in a pair of her favourite J’s. ‘Black In The Day’, a live scanning process gave the community a chance to have their fondest memories digitised and kept safe in the Black In The Day archive. Finally ‘Personal Best’ celebrated the achievements of 2021 with the community becoming part of an immersive installation.
Hosted by SNKRS own @willstowehos, there was a special discussion live in the ‘From The Jump’ space. Featuring sneaker enthusiast @jessylaw, paq creative director @chimaximilian and @minomitaylor. They wrapped up the exhibition by taking a deeper look at how the Black-British community has shaped sneaker culture worldwide.
"Nothing but good vibes and very important discussions that I hope inspires a real movement of support."
Gathering the community is always great vibes. Thank you to all community members that participated in our series of workshops. We captured some of the highlights across the day and it’s only right that we share them with you. Big thank you to all our workshop leaders @blkintheday @paq.works and let’s not forget everyone’s favourite Auntie.
