The Nike x sacai Cortez 4.0 drops with all-new freshly stacked look celebrating the 50th anniversary of Nike's first classic.
By Andrea Sacal @andysacal
The original Cortez leather upper is layered with additional details, creating a visionary sneaker design. Grey suede trimmings accompany the toe boxes and lacing systems, while panels of the same material are doubled-up around the heel counters in grey and blue. Bold red leather swooshes extend out from the tail with painted swooshes crossing above. Chitose Abe’s double-layered signature styling comes through on the collars, tongues and split sole, with an extending heel piece.
When Nike and sacai’s Chitose Abe kicked off their collaborative union in 2015, they began a journey to create trainers enhanced by double-layered everything – often combining classic silhouettes to create masterful creation.
