As you know, we brought together a crew of Tyler superfans from the Offspring Community to help launch the 1908 Converse Collection. Each member showed up with their own style, energy, and personality, making the shoot something special. While we had them together, we couldn’t resist asking what Converse and Tyler mean to them.
What does Converse mean to you personally?
What makes Converse personal is how easy it is to make them my own. Whether I dress up or down, they always feel like a true reflection of me. They’re simple and classic but the looks are endless.

What sets the 1908 collection apart is the way it respects Converse’s heritage but brings in bold colours and textures that feel unique and intentional.

What is the one detail about the Converse 1908 that people might miss but you instantly noticed?
The layering of different textures and colours creates depth and gives the shoes a handcrafted, artisanal feel. A small but cool detail is the choice to swap laces – giving each shoe a different vibe.
If your Converse could talk after a day in your life, what would they say?
“You stepped with confidence today. A busy day as usual but I’m glad we made it through in style”.

What inspires your style or creativity day-to-day?
Confidence inspires my style the most – when I feel good, my creativity naturally flows, and that shows in what I wear.

What’s something small that’s bringing you joy lately?
Lately, it’s the small joy of everyone at home being able to share dinner at the same time. Our busy routines keep us apart in the evening but recently we have managed to all be around the table and connect.
What does Converse mean to you personally?
I grew up appreciating American culture, especially the cholo style, where Converse has always been a staple. It’s more than just a shoe, it’s part of an identity and a look that’s stood the test of time.

How does the Converse 1908 fit into your style?
I need a day-to-day shoe I can wear to the office and then straight to a sneaker event without compromising on style. The 1908 works for both, it’s versatile but still stands out.

What makes Converse 1908 feel different from other sneakers?
I haven’t seen enough of this silhouette in recent years. It’s a shape that feels classic but still different from what everyone else is wearing right now.
What is the one detail about the Converse 1908 that people might miss but you instantly noticed?
The shape of the sole and how it changes the whole profile of the shoe. It’s subtle, but it gives the silhouette a sharper, more refined look.

What’s something small that’s bringing you joy lately?
Trying new hobbies, I’ve recently fallen in love with surfing and I’m excited to see where it will take me.
How does the Converse 1908 fit into your style?
My style leans towards neutral and earthy tones, so I always appreciate a brighter shoe as a statement piece.

It’s simple and clean, which makes it versatile and easy to pair with anything. It’s not busy or loud like a lot of other sneakers can be. Wherever I go, they won’t feel out of place.

What’s the one detail about the Converse 1908 that people might miss, but you instantly noticed?
Despite being a celebrity collaboration, the logo placement is subtle and doesn’t scream for attention. It lets the shoe speak for itself, confident in its own design.
If your Converse could talk after a day in your life, what would they say?
“I’d hope they’d feel refreshed. I like walking outdoors, getting fresh air, and being in nature whenever I can. By the end of the day, though, they’d be ready to say goodnight.”

What inspires your style or creativity day-to-day?
Seeing what other people are doing, whether it’s new people I meet or artists like Tyler. I try not to create in a vacuum. Taking in other perspectives and seeing how people express themselves helps shape my own approach.
What does Converse mean to you personally?
I was first introduced to converse at a young age but wasn’t able to obtain them so at first it was something to strive towards owning, just like the logo, a STAR to reach. Now, Converse still means that, but it also means a creative vessel that connects music and emotion with footwear and for work, especially dancing in converse in my teenage years.

So although it’s a practical tool for performance and creative expression it’s a brand that helps create wardrobe of authenticity and seeing what they have done Tyler it’s a place to extend your artistry into design and fashion.

How does the Converse 1908 fit into your style?
I could wear them with anything, honestly! This model Prioritizes aesthetic authenticity over nostalgia, but it still brings both which alligns with my style especially with emotional storytelling in a music video or something. It’s Bold yet adaptable which means I could wear it at the park, whilst skating, or even to a wedding, you know, dress it up! These are dope, they enhance presence without overpowering the fit. I love something that can complement every occasion.

What makes Converse 1908 feel different from other sneakers?
The sizing was surprising. And the cushioning from the sole was heavenly when I put them on. They’re lose but fitting and that’s rare nowadays as usually sneakers. An either lean too much into one way than the other. Another thing is what I said above, you can wear this any occasion. I might have to wear these at a BBQ next week, and then to the christening I’m going to next month. It’s that versatile!
What is the one detail about the Converse 1908 that people might miss but you instantly noticed?
Firstly, there is no star patch on the side haha! But one thing is that looks like ‘art’. Like a museum piece. The vibe is easily recognisable with this and the way it fits with the rope laces

What inspires your style or creativity day-to-day?
Whatever I’m feeling to be fair. My creativity with music is inspired by what I experience and what I’m feeling internally. I tend to lean towards that whilst ensuring the viewers feel emotion whilst listening and hearing it, through cadence as well as the style of the beats I produce.
With what I’m wearing it’s definitely the same thing. If I’m going through a phase where I’ve eaten a lot for sure you’ll see me in baggier fits! Haha. Dark colours mostly in the winter times because as we were taught ‘dark colours absorb heat’ and I hate the cold! However, I’m leaning going back towards vibrant colours as I used to!

What’s something small that’s bringing you joy lately?
Something ‘small’ in relation to size but large in other aspects is the hearts, and heart beats of the people I love. The ones that support all the hard decisions I make and the hard work I put into what I create and put out into the world. Those heartbeats mean the world as they allow me to continue perusing the dream and allowing the vision to work.
