In celebration of our Consortium Cup Final win and impending release of the adidas OFFS-weego, we hosted ‘THE HEIST’ – an exclusive event for the Offspring Community. We heard you guys wanted a party and we were happy to put on the vibes at the Vinyl Factory in London’s Soho.
Dress code: adidas on foot (or you ain’t coming in)
On one of the hottest days of the year, the temperatures in London were definitely soaring, with the Offspring Community flexing some serious adi heat.
It ain’t all about the London Community neither. We laid on 2 coaches from Manchester and Birmingham, to take our Northern fam ‘to and from’ the event in London.
Upon entering the ‘backdoor’ via Phonica Records, the venue transformed into a scene straight out of a heist movie, exuding warehouse vibes reminiscent of a daring bank robbery. The Community were greeted by the eerie glow of blue UV lighting, casting an otherworldly hue over the old school technology and flickering TV screens that set up the space. The gritty atmosphere crackled with an air of intrigue and adventure, setting the stage for a truly immersive experience
Adding to the allure was the presence of a badass BMW getaway car that had everyone drooling. The sleek abandoned vehicle stood as a testament to the event’s theme of high-stakes adventure and bold manoeuvres, with a trunk load full of the OFFS-weegos. The adi enthusiasts and Community alike, marvelled at the innovative design and quality craftsmanship of the London themed shoe, creating a buzz of anticipation for their official launch.
A highlight of the event was the Crystal Maze-inspired wind tunnel, where peeps entered in a whirlwind of excitement to grab those winning tokens like a pro. The adrenaline-fueled challenge added an element of thrill and competition to proceedings. The prizes? A slick silver Consortium x Offspring trunk full of a few surprises, goodie bags, and your own pair OFFS-weegos!
As the event unfolded, big beats and infectious energy, set the perfect backdrop for guests to immerse themselves in the celebration. The sound of chatter and bants mingled with the pulsating music, created vibes and a dynamic ambience that resonated throughout the venue.
Amidst the excitement, the spotlight shone on the amazing adidas sneakers that were on display, showcasing styles from now to grails from way back. What do you expect, there were some serious adidas OG sneakerheads present. The sneakers became a focal point of admiration and conversation, with the matching fits adding flair to an already sick event.
Overall, ‘THE HEIST’ in London’s Soho was an event to remember. The vibes were off the charts, the beats were banging, the crowd was lit, and the adidas sneakers were on point. It was a celebration, that left a lasting impression on all who attended.

The OFFSPRING OZWEEGO is a mash up of two iconic models. The outsole and elements of the upper from an old adidas DESIGNER collaboration and the rest from the running catalogue, the Response Lite. The shoe takes inspiration from the now discontinued £1 note. From its colour scheme, to hidden details like the serial code and even the hologram, there is so much to discover.
The Offspring x adidas Consortium Ozweego ‘£1 note’ will be launching Saturday 3rd Aug in all stores and online.
