For the latest instalment of OFFSPRING PLAYoffs we teamed up with our friends at @saucony_eu and @the.dodge.club for an evening of dodgeball.
The Dodge Club is a community that was founded nearly 2 years ago by Quason when he booked out a hall and 16 people attended to play. Fast forward, now they have over 1000 people in their community and host 2 events a month.
Two communities brought together on one court to play a sport many hadn’t played since school. No matter the skill level everyone could take part, but there could only be one winning team. After a warmup, we got straight into it.
Everyone split up into their teams as the first rounds began. 3 minute games, go as hard as you can, team with the most players left at the whistle wins. Teams that got the best of three matches then progressed to the next round.
Let's recap the rules... to get a player out the ball must touch below their head. Rebounces do not count. No crossing over the red line and no throwing the ball until you've retreated the white line. If you catch a ball, the thrower is out. You can use a ball to rebound opponents throws. You must throw the ball within 10 seconds of holding it. Got it?
Teams knocked out, onto the final rounds to crown a winner! Each team goes against each other and last man standing wins. No time limit led to some very intense stand offs.
The teams battled it out with each one dropping off until there were two teams left. Black and Red team went head to head wth each other, giving it their all to obtain the crown.
There could only be one winner.
