Last year, we embarked on a meaningful journey with Nike to create something truly special, a product designed by the Community, for the Community. Our goal was simple: to empower local voices and co-create a sneaker that represents both the people and culture of the UK.

With this vision in mind, we partnered with Nike to assemble a team of Community members who worked closely alongside Nike product designers. Together, they set out to design a shoe that reflects their experiences, identities, and daily inspirations.
As you know we like to put action behind our words especially where Community is concerned. We are proud to announce we also partnered with thisway.up_, working with the talented students from Chobham Academy to shoot the editorial campaign for our NIKE collaboration.
This Way Up is a CIC committed to sharing knowledge, opportunity and experience from creative professionals to youth who will shape tomorrow but don’t have the formal skills or learnings.
The process began with an immersive workshop at Nike’s King’s Cross store, where the Community was divided into two groups. Each group came prepared with moodboards and creative concepts, ideas that reflected their vision of a true Community sneaker. These sessions provided space for rich conversations around materials, colours, and cultural influences that shaped their individual and collective experiences in the UK.
Nike’s design team then returned to HQ, where they reviewed the insights gathered, identified key themes, and developed two initial concepts. These designs were brought back to the Community team in a dedicated feedback session, where, through collaboration and refinement we landed on the final product we’re proud to share with you today.
Nike Air SNDR x OFFSPRING ‘For the Community’ is a collaboration built on collective creativity.
At OFFSPRING, we recognise the role we play within this Community and the importance of opportunity, platforming, and elevating voices. We saw a chance for those who love sneakers to leave their mark through the process of creation – a chance to learn, develop, or apply skills in a real-world experience. We’re proud to officially introduce the very first set of Community Creators.
It’s more than just a sneaker, it’s a celebration of Community, collaboration, and craftsmanship. Co-created with dedicated Community members and Nike designers, every detail of this release has been carefully considered, refined, and purposefully executed.
This project is a true joint effort. From the Nike team and Community Designers to This Way Up and OFFSPRING HQ, what we present today is the result of collective creativity, passion, and hard work.

The Community SNDR launch is more than just a celebration of creativity and innovation, it’s a chance to give back.
In keeping with the project’s founding mission to develop, educate, and nurture the community and the next generation, we are proud to announce that proceeds from the launch will be donated to thisway.up_.
The collaboration highlights our shared visions: strengthening communities by investing in the next generation. By donating proceeds from the launch of Nike x Offspring Community SNDR is honouring both our missions while helping thisway.up_ expand its reach and impact. We used the words for this reason. We hope it all makes sense now.
