Across many Offspring locations, we saw ecstatic community members reunited with their lost property.
Those visiting London Selfridges experienced a hatch experience like no other, with shelves decked out with a range of uncollected goods. Amongst it all awaited what some call ‘sneaker of the year’.
If you were lucky enough to be reunited with a pair, you were required to wear a pair of Air Jordan 1s upon collection. Here’s a glimpse of what the community sported on the day.
“I travelled up from Wiltshire, we wanted to be the first in the line and when we arrived there were only 20 people in front of us. Myself and my friends from the Urban Syndicate have been eagerly waiting for this pair all year, it’s great that an Offspring release can bring people together like it does, it’s not just a pickup but a day out with friends who share a passion or kicks...
The Lost and Found Chicago’s were a must have in my collection and once I got them in hand I was not disappointed, my high expectations were met, the subtle vintage details really make this pair something special. They are pick up of the year for me so far, but we’re not done yet, IMO there’s still two contenders to come for sneaker of the year.”
“Once I got to Offspring, I felt the community presence and the Jordan 1s were out in full force on the streets of London. Getting the Jordan 1 Lost and Found in hand and taking the lid off the box was surreal. Possibly the most anticipated shoe this year. I have to say, they did not disappoint. From the material to the detail, it’s all on point. Thank you Offspring for a smooth and great pickup day!”
“It’s been a minute since I last attended a high heat pickup day at Offspring. Yet still it never seizes to amaze me how one day can bring so many people closer together with the same interest in mind – sneakers. The iconic Chicago’s were just as great as I had imagined, the leather is soft, the stitching is on point and the overall quality is A1.
I travelled from Southeast London, but it wasn’t too many years ago when I would travel from Birmingham to collect a win. Thanks to the Offspring Community, I met some dope people who I now call my friends. It’s a place where people can catch a vibe and you can’t go wrong with that.”
“For this pickup we decided to drive from Holland, take the train from Calais to Folkestone and then from Folkestone drive to London. It was a long trip but well worth it. When we arrived at London Selfridges and like always staff members were so nice and welcoming to us. After the pick-up we went for a meetup with some friends from the UK, had a drink, some food and a nice chat. Then it was time to get home; the trip took us close to 20 hours, but time well spent and well worth it.”
“I hopped on a train from Norwich to collect the Chicago’s which is one of my biggest grails and was my second Offspring WIN! It was a sick experience in-store with the lost property setup, I was so hyped collecting them that they had to go straight on-foot.”
“I came over from Stratford in East London, not far but always fun getting ready to come to central for a pick-up knowing we will see so many great friends and familiar faces. Love thinking about what pair to put on for a pick-up day! I was anxious about the Chicago 1’s, such an incredible pair and when your expectations of a pair are so high you fear it won’t be met. From the vintage box to the paper, it was nostalgic feeling that came rushing to me. Opening the box – it was love, immediately I knew I wanted the black laces in.”
