Last week, we teamed up with our long-standing partners Converse to bring the #OFFSPRINGCOMMUNITY something truly memorable – two surprise moments in the heart of London, built around culture, connection, and a certain 'Creator' you might’ve heard of.
It started with #SundayDiscussions
As always, Community leads the way. Off the back of our weekly #SundayDiscussions, we put a call out to the Tyler superfans – those who live and breathe @feliciathegoat – and picked a handful of you to join us for something extra special.
What followed were two unforgettable experiences, curated by Converse and made for the real fans.
#1 An intimate Q&A in a hidden spot
No location drop. No schedule. Just a message, a meet-up point, and a lot of anticipation. Guests were brought to a lowkey space for what they thought was a small Community event. The twist? Tyler himself pulled up to assembled panel for a surprise Q&A session, giving everyone the rare chance to ask questions, hear insights from industry experts, and witness the energy up close.
Raw, unfiltered, and deeply personal – this was an unforgettable experience for those present.
As we walk into the opulent interior of The Roof Gardens in Kensington, a palpable sense of anticipation fills the room. No-one there knows quite what to expect. An eclectic mix of sneakerheads, aspiring artists and creatives have been brought together for a secret event hosted by Converse: the only detail shared is that the event is linked to Tyler the Creator.
Tyler is everything you expect him to be: witty, real, bursting with energy and above all – himself. He shares that as much as he loves Chuck Taylors, he knew Converse had more heat in the archives and wanted to bring that to the fore. He was let loose on Converse’s back catalogue, updating deck shoes and jogging silhouettes with his trademark shades of sky-blue, forest-green and touches of embellishment or pattern. It is clear from how he speaks that Tyler is a true visionary: his mind never ceases creating.
It was a real privilege as a community member to witness the creative genius behind one of the world’s most innovative and gifted recording artists. Seeing and listening to Tyler in the flesh surpassed all expectations. A huge thank you to Converse for hosting us at the panel, gifting us a dope pair from the upcoming 1908 collection and for inviting us to Tyler’s Chromakopia concert at the O2: a truly unforgettable week!
#2 Chromakopia at the O2
From private to public, we levelled up the experience. The crew headed straight to Tyler’s Chromakopia concert at The O2, soaking in the full live experience. It was more than just a show. It was a celebration. From the food to the fashion – it was a night full of vibes, shared stories, and memories that’ll live way beyond the encore.
Tyler definitely didn’t disappoint he played his new cuts from his latest album then ran through classics from IGOR to Flower Boy to Wolf and of course Goblin! I was sitting there taking it all in thinking Tyler has a crazy catalogue and I’m not sure who in this ‘New Generation’ can go toe to toe with him in a Vs 🤔 Was an amazing night thank you to the Offspring & Converse Teams
We were invited to attend the Chromakopia concert to see Tyler perform at the O2, where his energy and vision came to life on stage. Seeing him live after hearing about the thought and design behind the collection made it clear that this wasn’t just about sneakers—it was about storytelling. Tyler isn’t just reviving Converse’s past—he’s breathing new life into it, making history feel fresh, personal, and unapologetically his own.
Nothing beats spending the evening with like-minded Tyler fans. The conversations were engaging and the vibes were immaculate. It was just good energy all evening. Plus, the food and drinks were flowing all night!
Now, let’s talk about the show. It was insane from start to finish. Felt like a full-on journey through different eras of Tyler, The Creator—from the raw energy of Goblin to the more emotional moments of Chromakopia, like the powerful performance of “Like Him.” Hands down one of the best shows I’ve ever been to.
When HQ reached out, to say I was excited would be an understatement, Tyler’s early discography was prominent amongst my generation in secondary school, he transcended Goblin and Wolf, which were on repeat… but it wasn’t just his music anymore. Kids were referencing his lines, his style and his attitude.
Tyler’s performance felt like a love letter to everything that has come before his newest album. Serving slices of each era to fans through his curated setlist. From the dramatic opening of St. Chroma to the melodic performance of Earfquake, not only did the show display his eclectic style of music but the introspective parts really highlight how creatively he is on another level, conceptually tying albums through themes and experiences at different points in his life. Thank you HQ, it was an unforgettable evening!
Big Love
Massive shout out to our friends at converse_europe for making this all happen. And of course, to the #OFFSPRINGCOMMUNITY for showing up, showing love, and showing exactly why we do this.
