Launching 02.12.14 | Nike x Liberty

The wait is almost over and we can reveal that the Nike x Liberty AW14 collection is launching on Tuesday 2nd December.

The collection showcases a mix of Nike’s favourite styles and 3 new sneakerboot versions to blend the old with the contemporary. This is also reflected in the archive print used as Nike has updated the heritage Belmont Ivy print with an overlay of polka dots.

The hero of the hour is of course the iconic Air Max 1, a style that epitomises classic Nike and is a firm favourite in every Nike x Liberty collection in which it has featured.

The dark blue version of the print adorns the updated Air Max 1 Sneakerboot, taking the style higher with a padded ankle support.

First released in 1972, the Blazer had a huge revival 3 years ago and we still love this clean cut, vintage silhouette.

With running styles fully represented, it makes sense to add a bit of basketball with the iconic Air Force 1.

With wedge trainers still a favourite for women, Nike have updated the Air Force 1 with this Lunar Force 1 Sky Hi, slimming it down and adding a heeled Lunar sole.

Last year saw the return of the Internationalist and since then we can’t get enough of it, so it made sense for Nike to give us the option of the classic and the new Mid, sneakerboot update.

This collection will launch in-store and online here on Tuesday 2nd December.

adidas x Offspring Exclusive

We have teamed up with adidas again to launch a pack of two unique styles featuring some classic silhouettes fused with premium materials.

First released in 1988 the ZX420 has been pulled into the 21st century featuring a mix of mono red croc effect leather, creased leather and suede uppers, whilst keeping true to its original ZX shape. The tongue features lightweight reflective components and contrasting, tonal branded ice gum sole.

Also reminiscent of the early 90’s; the Torsion Response Lite, adopts a modern style whilst staying true to its running roots. The classic moulded sock liner features a neoprene update, stingray effect, grey leather uppers and classic nubuck 3-Stripes.

Designed collaboratively in-house, this exclusive pack launches on the 21st November and will only be available in OFFSPRING stores and online here.

adidas Originals ‘Fall of the Wall’ pack

adidas Originals are honouring the 25th anniversary of the collapse of the Berlin wall and marking this history defining moment with the release of the ‘Fall of the Wall’ pack, reworking the classic 1989-released ZX8000 runner in three unique colourways.

1989 was a year that redefined the social landscape of Germany as a nation divided was brought back together after 37 years with the collapse of this infamous wall.

Constructed in Germany, the pack takes direct inspiration from the three American Allied checkpoints that were located around the East/West Germany border; ‘Alpha’, ‘Bravo’ and ‘Charlie’.

Located 160km from Berlin, Checkpoint Alpha was one of the most important German borders during the Cold War. Taking inspiration from the crossing’s dark building and large stretches of grey asphalt, the ‘Alpha’ features black leather uppers with tonal mesh panelling.

Inspired by the pastel hues of Checkpoint Bravo, this ZX 8000 is constructed from salmon pink nubuck with synthetic underlays, a bright yellow heel cage and light aqua accents running throughout.

The most famous of all the German border crossings, Checkpoint Charlie was located right in the heart of Berlin. ‘Charlie’ is decked out in premium white leather with tonal canvas underlays, finished with a black heel cage and a natural leather lining.

This highly exclusive release is launching on Saturday 8th November and will be available online here and in selected Offspring stores. Check your nearest one for availability.

Onitsuka Tiger x asics x OFFSPRING Launch Party

On Thursday 28th August the Commercial Street store in Shoreditch, London hosted the launch party for one of OFFSPRING‘s most anticipated collaborations.

Inspired by the colours of the desert at dawn and dusk, this Onitsuka Tiger x asics and OFFSPRING pack of two was designed by one of our very own, sports buyer Aman Tak.

The party was full to the brim with artists, bloggers and trainer fanatics, all there to enjoy these exclusive and limited edition designs.

It definitely went off with a bang with great music from DJ Alex Sessions and the endless buzz of sneaker chat.

The Gel Lyte V has now officially sold out but you can still get the limited Shaw Runner here.

The pack was definitely a crowd pleaser and the guys at Dropdate thought so too, check out their review here.

In honour of the exciting launch of our Saucony Originals x Offspring Shadow 6000 trainers, we hosted an exclusive Saucony party at our Offspring Commercial Street store in East London.

The store was rammed with photographers, magazine editors, bloggers and trainer fans to celebrate this exclusive launch and get a preview of our limited Shadow 6000.

While we were enjoying some hip hop beats played by club kid Siobhan Bell and mingling with fellow sneakerheads we caught up with our very own Aman Tak from the buying team who designed the models with Saucony.

Q&A with Aman (Buyer/Designer at Offspring

What was the inspiration and thought process behind the collaboration?

The inspiration was drawn from combination of factors. Trekking through some of Saucony’s archive imagery it was evident, like most early ’80s running brands, neons, turquoises, pinks were prevalent on some aspect of footwear in that era. This formed the basis of the key focal points of this collab, the side spots, speckled sole and the box. Then we looked at more modern performance product and the use of 3M reflective hits for safety which spawned the idea of a full reflective tongue.

The slogan ‘running since..96’ was inspired by the ‘We Run’ motto found on Saucony’s performance boxes. This was a way of us paying homage to both the brand and to our original OFFSPRING store which opened its doors in 1996 on Covent Garden’s Neal Street. A store I subsequently worked at many moons ago. This also inspired the grey based colour way as Covent Garden, to me, evokes images of the cobbled streets and the large paving stones of the piazza so we tried to incorporated this too.

How do you feel Saucony fits with the Offspring brand?

We have always prided ourselves on looking outside of the regular top 4/5 brands and are continually on the hunt to expand our brand portfolio with ‘alternative’ brands and I think Saucony fits perfectly in that mould. They offer our consumers an alternative to other brands, maintaining a high level of quality not to mention their deep rooted heritage in performance and lifestyle. They have an immense loyal following globally and with our key touch points around the country we have been able to connect with these guys with our inline offering and now with this collaboration.

Saucony is synonymous with running and the Shadow 6000 is a brilliant example of their unique style. What made you decide on the Shadow 6000?

There have been some amazing collabs on this model from some top global partners in recent times so it was an opportunity to make our mark on this iconic shoe. Hopefully we have done the Saucony following proud

Without giving too much away, can we expect any more exciting collaborations?

Without giving away too much we have a few locked in, some with sports brands and some outside of those. Keep your eyes peeled

What trainers are you getting excited about for the summer?

There’s a lot to choose from, but from Saucony specifically there are some great Luxe Packs using hi grade materials and the collaboration product from the likes of Bait, Premier & Bodega is pretty exciting. A promising year for the brand as a whole I think.

This exclusive collaboration will be available from all Offspring stores nationwide from 10am Saturday 5th of April, and on www.offspring.co.uk from Monday 7th April at 8am.
