Launch|Air Force 1 Flyknit|28.01.16

Combining the old with the new and the 2 most popular trainers, the Nike Air Force 1 and the Nike Flyknit a whole new world of comfort has been created. The Air Force 1 as popular as it is is a heavier sneaker compared to others so the weightless feel to the classic silhouette combined with its modern Fly knit technology is a huge success.

The Nike Sportswear team took their inspiration from long walks through Paris deciding they could make the shoe lighter, more flexible and reducing that dreaded crease along the toe vamp. By using injected unit rubber tooling instead of polyurethane tooling and micro-engineering each stitch they created the featherweight upper for “maximum comfort and minimal weight”.

Offspring x Saucony – COMING SOON

rebecca-naen-saucony-2[1]

Saucony Originals have teamed up with footwear giant Offspring to offer 2 fresh spins on the brand’s iconic Shadow 6000, taking their influence from classic colours from the Saucony archive and the streets of London’s Covent Garden.  For the first time ever Saucony Originals have produced a fully unisex collaboration, with both colourways being available in both Men’s and Women’s sizes.

Inspired by the ‘We Run’ slogan found on the boxes of Saucony’s performance running shoes, the name ‘Running Since.. 96’ pays homage to the year Offspring launched their first store on Neal Street in Covent Garden, just yards from where they now share a space with the Saucony ‘Story of Running’ pop-up store.

rebecca-naen-saucony-4[1]

Utilising pig skin suede, with a 3m reflective tongue the colours used in designing the two colourways take inspiration from the prevalent colours in Saucony’s rich archives – neon pink highlights the Saucony three dots logos and across the tongue detail whilst turquoise runs throughout both shoes, with the shoes’ grey base colour taking inspiration directly from the cobbled streets of Covent Garden which surround Neal Street.

rebecca-naen-saucony-15[1]

Since 1991, the Shadow 6000 has been a favourite of the high-mileage runner who needs a running shoe with stability in the heel and extra flexibility and cushion in the forefoot.  It has been such a success it still features in the Saucony 2014 performance line up.

rebecca-naen-saucony-12[1]

The collaboration will be available from all Offspring stores nationwide from 10am on Saturday 5th of April, and Offspring.co.uk from 10am on Monday the 7th of April, 10am uk time

Sneakers : The complete limited editions guide

Since the release of The Complete Collectors Guide in 2005 there has been a revolution in the sneaker industry, with trainers moving back to the forefront of popular culture and becoming the hot topic once again.

cover

With so much hype over launch products, re-releases and retro styles, this much anticipated sequel book gives a refined breakdown of the best limited releases across some of our best loved sports brands. Sneakers: The Complete Limited Editions Guide not only celebrates a collection of inspiring trainers but also some of the great sneaker boutiques that have emerged in recent years, of course one of those being Offspring.

Two of our very own collaborations feature in this trainer bible, showcasing our Converse Clean Crafted pack that took the timeless basketball silhouette and reworked using premium full grain leather uppers and finished with an embossed Offspring man on the inside tongue. The second collaboration was with running royalty New Balance, as after becoming one of the first accounts to sell their Made in the UK product it only seemed fitting to release something together. The pack featured the 576, 577 and 860 models in a mix of premium leather, nubuck and mesh and each trainer had the 4 original Offspring store numbers embroidered into the heel.

With the second wave of sneaker collecting, boutiques have collaborated with the sportswear giants to create unique and limited trainers. Using artists, designers, musicians and cultural icons to influence the build and make up of a trainer shows how recognised sports footwear has become amongst a fashion conscious and individualist culture.

An essential purchase for the sneakerhead and avid collector, this exciting new book release is now available online here.

Adidas Retro vs. Marble part 2

Screen shot 2014-02-27 at 15.40.20

From the second part of our exclusive collaboration with adidas, the Retro vs. Marble pack, we can exclusively reveal the next focus model, the ZX5000.

The first exclusive colourway is a retro classic in light aqua, infra red and sun yellow, a nod to the colours we saw back in the day.

The second features panels of our unique marble effect amongst a dark indigo blue and pop pink colour palette. Both styles have a classic ZX5000 make up of suede and engineered mesh with 3M reflective details and a neoprene sock.

3

First released in 1989, the adidas ZX 5000 represented running shoe perfection. It was sold as a simpler model that focused on superior cushioning for middle to long distance runners. The incorporated TORSION bar allowed the foot flexibility and provided support and stability.

Throughout the ZX Series’ history, few shoes pushed forward to the future like the ZX 5000. Following the groundwork laid by models before it, this iconic shoe blends crucial elements of the ZX Series into a brand new design, culminating into a true symbol of performance footwear. A lightweight runner with a focus on comfort the adidas Torsion system allows free independent movement of the forefoot and heel.

Available in all Offspring stores and online here from Friday the 28th of February

Adidas S-M-L

From adidas’ premium Originals Blue label come the S-M-L (small-medium-large), a unique concept shoe, designed to address the needs of style-oriented frequent travellers. Originally seen briefly within adidas‘ Y-3 and SLVR collections, this technically brilliant shoe offers blissful comfort.

1

The primary goal with the S-M-L was to engineer a no fuss shoe that delivered a level of cushioning and support during light activity, flexibility, stretch and something ultimately light in weight. Coming in just 3 sizes, the shoe is designed to stretch across a size range, Small (3.5-5.5 UK), Medium (6-7.5 UK) and Large (8-9.5 UK), offering a snug and almost barefoot like experience.

Combining a 80´s running inspired upper with the modern S-M-L tooling , S-M-L original´s creates a unique new look that offers ultimate style and comfort. The “cage-like” outer layer features a stretchy synthetic leather and mesh upper in vibrant neon colours to provides support to the foot and the under layer is crafted from 4-way stretch mesh for a sock like fit allowing the shoe to stretch accordingly. To finish the outsole is engineered using EVA in two seperate high contact areas for traction and durability, allowing the shoe to expand and contract according to the wearer.

Nike Roshe Run – Tye Die

The Nike Roshe Run is rapidly becoming a staple basic in the Nike family and with
their array of fresh and exciting colour ways they are well on their way to becoming
a classic. It would seem the possibilities are endless in terms of colour combinations
and patterns that can be added to this minimalist silhouette. This experimentation
with colour is evident with the exciting release of the ‘Tie Dye’ model.

nike-roshe-run-detail

Inspired by the practice of meditation and the concept of Zen, the NikeRoshe Run
epitomises simplicity. It has no embellishments, just basic shoe necessities brought
to life with every detail. Almost every part of the shoe reflects an aspect of a tranquil
Zen garden, a modified Waffle outsole made to look like stepping stones, an insole
that mirrors a raked rock garden and slightly different midsole side lengths which
echoes a juxtaposition of seriousness and playfulness.

nike-roshe-run-detail_side

This limited colour way is dipped in all colours of the rainbow with pink, blue, orange and
yellow hues splashed over a canvas based upper. Crisp white laces, Swoosh and
EVA midsole add some contrast to this vibrant Roshe Run.

The result of this multicoloured tie dye design is an eye catching yet simple style,
ideal for summer and those who love making a bit of a statement with their footwear.
