12 Kicks PT10: Nike Stefan Janoski

From Nike’s ‘SB’ skate collection are the Stefan Janoski’s. Launched in 2009, it was the signature shoe of the famous skateboarder. With Nike representing a huge range of sports professions, the skate styles are unique and understated. The low profile style comes in a variety of suede, leather and canvas and a broad range of colourways.

12 Kicks PT11: Nike SC Trainer Hi ‘Ohio State’

Another Quickstrike release to honour the spirit of the Ohio State football team. The trainer features a letterman style chenille ‘O’ on the tongue and a branded ‘’ on the outsole, split between two shoes. The university colours of red, black and silver feature on the mostly white perforated leather upper and sits atop a red speckled midsole. To finish the insole features Ohio State’s buckeye leaf in an all over print, completing this limited premium team edition.

Introduced in 1969, the adidas Superstar was a low top version of the Pro Model and was the first low top basketball shoe to be made. Immediately identifiable by its rubber toe box, it became known to millions as ‘the shell toe’. A revival in the late 1980’s saw the Superstar getting snapped up by the hip hop scene and the shoe reached iconic status when famous rap group Run DMC made it part of their look. A main contender in the trainer hall of fame, it is a style that every sneakerhead needs to own.

The holiday seasons most anticipated release, the Air Jordan 11 ‘Gamma Blue’ are sure to be on every sneakerhead’s Christmas list. A new colourway for the Air Jordan 11 model, it features a black upper with gamma blue and yellow accents and a blue translucent sole. A hype favourite, the Air Jordan 11 is sure to fly just like the Jumpman himself.

The ultimate in comfort and style, the New Balance 576 is a British made classic, produced in its factory in Flimby, Cumbria. Designed as an athletic walking shoe, the 576 features premium leather and suede uppers and is frequently released in a new variety of colourways. The Made In England branding makes it somewhat unique in the trainer community and is seen as collectable.

An iconic skate style that became a firm favourite among iconic skateboarders such as Stacy Peralta, Jay Adams and Tony Alva, of the infamous Dogtown skate crew. The Old Skool introduced the classic Vans side stripe that developed into a status symbol of tradition and skate stature. Built to last, the Old Skool is a reminder of a subculture that continues to influence sports styles and fashion.
